Public bug reported:

Testing today's ISO image on an Lenovo X220i:

Image: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20120822/quantal-desktop-amd64.iso following ISO test case:
Testcases:
    http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/219/builds/21646/testcases/1300/results
    http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/219/builds/21646/testcases/1305/results

I got almost to the end of the installation but it never completed. The
current message at the bottom of the installer screen is:

"Copying installation logs..."

after 40 minutes I gave up waiting.

"vmstat 1" shows no I/O activity
"top" shows no installation processes busy, system looks idle.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Tags: iso-testing

** Package changed: ubuntu => ubiquity (Ubuntu)
