Public bug reported:

When trying to open the update manager I received a message that this
was a serious bug. A red circle with a white horizontal line also
appeared. I am not very technically inclined but love ubuntu can you
replay and s+tell me how to fix this. I am using the lasest verson of
Ubuntu. Tnanks Daniel
