So there is some sort of disk problem here. I am going to move this away
from ubiquity and into qemu-kvm for now.

Bug description:
  The security team, et al uses lp:ubuntu-qa-tools/vm-tools/uvt to
  create new VM images by using an ISO, then updating it with preseed
  information so we may perform unattended VM installs. Before ubiquity
  finishes installation, 11.10 amd64 (and possibly i386, but haven't
  verified yet) sometimes fails.
