[Bug 1019172] Re: Clumsy Finnish localization of post-install failure message

The actual problem for translators is the variable %s in 724 as it
doesn't seem to be translatable. This is a dpkg bug for which
translators can only give an ugly workaround, the actual bug (variable
%s in 724 isn't marked for translation) should be fixed upstream.

Title:
Clumsy Finnish localization of post-install failure message

Status in Ubuntu Translations:
  Triaged
Status in “dpkg” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Quoting bug #976781 correspondence:
  >> aliprosessi installed post-installation script palautti virhetilakoodin 255
  > apologies for the really stupid half-translated error message you got.

I'm not sure what should be done about this. A more fluent
translation would be something like "aliprosessin asentama asennuksen
viimeistelyskripti" (off the top of my head) but if "post-installation
script" is not a translatable string (haven't checked) it may require
  changes to the source.

I started to look at the Finnish dpkg translations, but there are over
300 untranslated messages to cope with, and I'm not a native speaker.
I'm mainly submitting this bug report as a reminder to myself to
revisit when I have more time.
