  package initscripts 2.88dsf-13.10ubuntu11.1 failed to install/upgrade:
  subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
  status 1

Status in “sysvinit” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  i just did a apt-get update ; apt-get upgrade and got this error

  after getting the error the first time, i get the following error if i
  do a "apt-get upgrade"
