[Bug 1036194] [NEW] Ubuntu still doesn't have a default calendar app

Public bug reported:

Running 12.10 alpha 3, Ubuntu still doesn't offer a default calendar
Right now, it is set to "gedit" (see screenshot) attached.

What I would like to see is to have a default calendar application that
allows the user to be able to sync remote calendars, (e.g. Google
Calendar). The only optional choice right now is to install Evolution,
which is rather redundant considering that Thunderbird is the default
Email/Calendaring tool.

What can we expect for the 12.10 release?
