  Xubuntu background image not showing up

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  We've had the "grey traces" bug 924909 for a while now, but now the
  background image isn't even showing up.

  Using daily desktop iso from 11-Aug-2012 10:20, installing via
  TestDrive+KVM.
