I upgraded several machines from Lucid to Precise. After the Upgrade I
noticed that the application did not use the global menu. To fix this I
had to install the package 'indicator-appmenu' which pulls in some
dependencies. (solution found at http://askubuntu.com/questions/133259/

This package should be installed by default.
