Title:
Desktop 9.10 to 10.04 upgrade, evolution removed from menu,
  thunderbird is installed

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

I upgraded an ubuntu machine from 9.10 to 10.04. After the upgrade I noticed evolution is missing from the menu Applications-->Internet, also the standard evolution icon next to the menu is missing.
Furthermore I noticed Thunderbird was installed, which made the whole experience extra confusing. Is ubuntu going from evolution to thunderbird, am I supposed to move my mail from evolution to thunderbird?
Later on I discovered that evolution was still accessible via indicator-applet (but I never use that).
