I have a related problem - trying to do an offline upgrade (with or
without the network connected) does't work. I run cdromupgrade and
choose not to download updates from the Internet but it appears to still
pull the entire upgdare from the network (the CD drive is inactive).
Disconnecting the network lead before starting causes errors that
itcan't access the Ubuntu domains.
