I ran a "apt-get dist-upgrade && shutdown -h now" and upon powering back
up get a screen titled "GNU GRUB version 1.99-21ubuntu3" and a message
about a minimal BASH functionality with a prompt.
I'm not convinced this is a U/EFI system (HP dc7900 CMT) but it is
running Intel Fake RAID in mirror configuration. It has been running
and rebooted several times before now. Granted this was a late Beta of
12.04 though I sure, like myself, many would think updates would push us
to post-release 12.04 LTS version.
