The 12.04 release notes today suggest that it should be possible to
upgrade from 10.04 to 12.04 desktop version by selecting "Long term
support releases only" under "Show new distribution releases:" in Update
Manager and refreshing the package information. However, no button
offering to launch the upgrade process appears.
