Public bug reported:

When attempting to install Ubuntu (from a live USB stick) on a Samsung
laptop (Intel® Core™ i3-2350M CPU @ 2.30GHz × 4) alongside a default
Windows 7 installation, I get a 100% CPU and RAM usage.

I tried with Ubuntu 12.04 Beta 2 and Ubuntu 11.10 with same results.

The whole process works fine until I enter user data and click on the
last "Continue" button

I have set partitions like this:
/dev/sda1 PRIMARY (100MB) NTFS (preexisting Win7 boot partition)
/dev/sda2 PRIMARY (60GB) NTFS (shrinked Win7 main partition)
/dev/sda3 PRIMARY (50GB) ext4 /
/dev/sda7 LOGICAL (400GB) ext4 /home
/dev/sda6 LOGICAL (4GB) swap
/dev/sda5 LOGICAL (20GB) NTFS (preexisting Win7 system restore)
