Status in “shadow” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  addgroup: `/usr/sbin/groupadd -g 1058
  'fileserver_system_server_vserver_win_unsafe_m' returned error code 3.
  Exiting.

  When adding a group that has a longer name than 32 chars addgroup
  gives a error and no group is created. For a modern OS 32 chars is a
  bit low for logical group names.
