I have been able to reproduce this on a netbook as well. Ubiquity
crashes eventually with encrypted home, 3rd party sw and download
updates selected.

  I was trying to recreate another bug and just a full disk install with
  an encrypted home and received a notification that ubiquity had
  crashed.
