aptd crashed with OSError in _copy_io(): [Errno 11] Resource
temporarily unavailable

Bug description:
Binary package hint: aptdaemon
This and >9000 other applications crashed after reboot after full
update, which had to be terminated because it hung for about 2 hours
when it was unpacking the kernel, and when I ran dist-upgrade, it hung
for another half hour (before I ctrl+c'd it) while it was updating the
initramfs whatever.
