Title:
plymouthd crashed with SIGSEGV in free()
Status in “plymouth” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: plymouth
compiz, emerald and Xorg crash after executing Update Manager. I have
no idea how this problem relates to plymouthd crashes. this issue
occurs only when Update Manager is synchronizing the package sources
from Internet. After the crash, Xorg offers a list of options. some
of them simply don't work, some crash the OS completely -- it needs to
be rebooted, and one option starts a session with metacity (instead of
emerald) theme manager.
