Public bug reported:

The bug occorred while using the alternate CD installer.
The installation goes on until xorg. Here it complains that
can't install xorg because it requires xserver-xorg-video-ati and that one can't be installed.
The video card I have is a Radeon HD6470M which is still unsupported.
IUbuntu 10.4/64 bits works out of the box but allows only two video modes: 800x600 and 1024x760

** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
