Title:
  ImageMagick doesn't handle Right-To-Left languages

Status in “imagemagick” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in “imagemagick” package in Debian:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: imagemagick

Details in this upstream thread: http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-
  server/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15878

Basically, the following line shows the arabic characters backwards:

convert -background white -fill black -size 320x320 -encoding Unicode
-font AlHor -gravity center -pointsize 40 label:'ﺱﻼﻣ' test01.png

The ImageMagick folks say that it's because Ubuntu's ImageMagick:

"Your version of ImageMagick does not have built-in support for the
RSVG delegate library. You must install the RSVG delegate and its
development RPM (so the headers are installed). Then when you build
ImageMagick from source or SRPM, ImageMagick finds RSVG and includes
support when its installed. ImageMagick should then render the SVG
  image correctly."

They're implementing a new flag in the version 6.6.0-10 that will come
out in a couple of days, to handle situations when the RSVG isn't
  implemented.

Please either re-compile with RSVG, or implement the new version.

  Thanks!
