Title:
Installer shows "Bootloader install failed" dialog when installing
  alongside Haiku

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Install Haiku (download from www.haiku-os.org)
  2. Install Ubuntu alongside Haiku (using the Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 2 Desktop x86 CD)
   - When the installer is at step 'Running "update-grub"...', it will show the "Bootloader install failed" dialog.
  3. Choose the "Continue without a bootloader" option.

The installer will continue and after a restart you will be greeted by
the Grub bootloader, allowing you to choose between Ubuntu and Haiku.
