Title:
Installer crashed (grub error, I think)
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I'm new around here, so apologies if I don't give enough information!
I was trying to install Ubuntu on to a second hard drive. I have
Windows 7 x64 on my primary hard drive. I tried to install the boot
loader to dev/sda1 (Windows Boot Partition) and I got an error message
saying (something along the lines of) that there was an error
installing the boot loader.
The next window asked if I would like to install it elsewhere, to
which I selected dev/sda.
Then I got an error message telling me that the installer had crashed
and I should file a new bug report!
I've attached syslog and partman as requested from the installer
crashed message.
Running Ubunutu 11.04.
Many thanks!
