Ah, that suggests it is highly likely that there is an issue with the
installation medium, can you please verify the iso you downloaded is not
corrupted by following the instructions at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM, and then burn it to a
different CD/DVD, preferably one of high quality; after you have done
that can you please confirm whether the error still occurs or not when
booting off the new medium?
