  task 'Ubuntu Desktop USB' doesn't install a working desktop

Status in “tasksel” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Netboot i386|amd64 20110920

  TEST CASE:
  1. Boot a netboot image
  2. On the task selection select 'Ubuntu Desktop USB' and proceed with the installation

  Result
  Only 500 packages or so are downloaded and installed and the resulting environment is not a Ubuntu Desktop
