  sudo crashes on use

Status in “sudo” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Created a new file /etc/sudoers.d/ to be used by sudo. Decided to set permission to 440 after creating that file.
  But sudo started crashing and in no way I can use sudo to recover the situation.
