I only found two files in '/var/log/installer/'; "version" and "debug".
'Version' only contain "ubiquity 2.7.28", and 'debug' contains the
following:

Ubiquity 2.7.28

(ubiquity:6619): Pango-WARNING **: error opening config file
'/root/.pangorc': Permission denied

update_release_notes_label()
/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/misc.py:565: UserWarning: set_indicator_keymaps: this function currently does not work
  warnings.warn('set_indicator_keymaps: this function currently does not work')
update_release_notes_label()
debconf: DbDriver "passwords" warning: could not open /var/cache/debconf/passwords.dat: Permission denied

I've added /usr/share/apport/package-hooks/source_ubiquity.py as an
attachment. Hope this helps.

** Attachment added: "source_ubiquity.py"
