[Bug 853589] [NEW] Installer Crashed while installing 10.10

Public bug reported:

Every time I attempt to install 10.10, I get a message stating
"Installer crashed" that tells me to file a bug here, and to attach
/var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman.  The same thing happens installing
11.04, but that is another issue entirely.  Is there anything I can do
to fix it?
