Bug description:
Binary package hint: subversion
Subversion 1.5.1 is currently in hardy-backports. Subversion 1.6.1
should be backported to Hardy as well.
Tangible benefits:
- the main reason to upgrade is interoperability with other subversion clients: the format for a working directory has changed in 1.6; a 1.6 client will automatically update it to the new format. Ubuntu's version will no longer work once this happens.
- improved conflict handling
- improved SSL security and integration with password managers
Tools outside of Ubuntu such as Eclipse have upgraded making Jaunty's
package unable to work once any of the other tools that have touched
the working directory.
