  Dpkg aborted during package instalation with error:

  dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting:
   malloc failed (-1541383818 bytes): Cannot allocate memory

  Version info:
  dpkg --version
  Debian `dpkg' package management program version 1.15.5.6ubuntu2 (amd64).

  uname -a

  This bug is known as:
  Bug#616502: dpkg: "malloc failed (-1739558537 bytes): Cannot allocate memory" for file >= 2 GiB
  Original debian bug report:

  Patch was integrated in ubuntu natty (11.04). It's required to fix
  this problem into lucid (10.04LTS) release.
