The change in the file /etc/init/failsafe.conf line "pre-start exec sleep 120" on the "pre-start exec sleep 12" reduced boot time as in the attached file "dmesg".
Sorry for bad English.

** Attachment added: "dmesg"

Title:
Extremely slow boot - 3 minutes or more

Status in “upstart” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
My PC takes 3 minutes to boot since installing Beta 1. During most of
the boot time, it seems to hang at the Ubuntu logo. If I then press
Esc to get to verbose mode, I see a flashing cursor after the
"starting CUPS....OK" line. This lasts for over 2 and a half minutes,
after which a few more lines flash by and I reach the login screen.
