Public bug reported:
In addition to using the "update-manager -d" this can be seen from the
apt command line after the change to oneiric sources.
root at n8-laptop:~# apt-get dist-upgrade -s

Calculating upgrade... Failed
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libc6-dev : Breaks: gcc-4.4 (< 4.4.6-3ubuntu1) but 4.4.5-15ubuntu1 is to be installed
libgcc1 : Breaks: gcc-4.4 (< 4.4.6-4) but 4.4.5-15ubuntu1 is to be installed
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.
A simple remove solved it for me; I'm surprised that it couldn't
"calculate" this.
root at n8-laptop:~# apt-get remove gcc-4.4

The following packages will be REMOVED:
gcc-4.4*
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
After this operation, 4,903 kB disk space will be freed.
