Bug description:
  Binary package hint: hplip

  11.04 upgrade failed (see question #154769). After booting to a
  previous version and choosing to repair (as per chmmr's solution) I
  was able to restart and get into 11.04 but it reported the above
  package had failed - hence the report.  It remains to be seen what
  else has failed.  I have decided to copy all my data to another HD and
  wipe this drive and try a clean install. If that still causes problems
  I will revert to the previous en-carnation of Ubuntu as that worked
  perfectly.
