Title:
ubiquity crashed with AttributeError in install(): No frontend
available
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Is running ubiquity from an installed machine "allowed"? Even if
not, it shouldn't crash like this.
Installed Lubuntu 11.10 Beta 1. Updated to today ,using sudo apt-get
update && sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install ubiquity
At a (bash) shell prompt in LXTerminal, I typed the command
ubiquity
and it crashed, apparently unable to start the debconf front end?
debconf itself is apparently working fine on this machine:
sudo debconf-get samba-common/workgroup
outputs WORKGROUP for example.
