  add-apt-repository crashed with HTTPError in http_error_default():
  HTTP Error 404: Not Found

Bug description:
  Tried to add a repo, but made a typo. A  bunch of errors were printed
  on the terminal, and afterwards add-apt-repository crashed.

  It should give a meaningful short error in the terminal instead of
  lines failed on the scripts.

  This is 100% reproducible.
