Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:

* Is this reproducible?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?

This will help us to find and resolve the problem. In particular, I do
not understand what you're doing when you "use dash to search for a
file." A simple example would be a great help.

Title:
dash file search: no indication about paths

Status in “dash” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I have backup files on a second drive in my pc. When I use dash to
search for a file, it always shows two entries of a certain file, one
in say /home/paul/work, the other in /media/hd250/backup. It happend
to me several times the last days that I discovered that I was working
on an backup file. In case of a file with lots of passwords, this is
  really a very bad thing.

So show up the path of the file somewhere, or add a filter that only
shows results from this_drive or that_drive or both drives.

  Regards, Paul.
