Title:
natty: installation fails (grub2 couldn't install) on external hdd if
there is a swappartion in use on the external hdd
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I've tried several daily builds of natty.
I tried to install on my external usb hdd.
There is already 10.10 installed.
Installation of natty failed. Grub2 could not install and some other errors.
Tought first that there was something wrong with my ext hdd.
Then i deactivated the swap partition on the external hdd.
I also pointed the ubiquity not to use this swap partition.
Then the installation finished without errors.
Maybe there should be a warning or something that warns about the
situation?
