udev is not responsible for setting up bluetooth devices, that's bluez
(which also ships the rules now). Is that still an issue in oneiric?

** Package changed: udev (Ubuntu) => bluez (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: bluez (Ubuntu)
       Status: Confirmed => Incomplete

Title:
  Bluetooth recognized only as HID keyboard and mouse

Status in “bluez” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I have a DELL Latitude E6400 and I'm running the developement version
  of 11.10 32bit, with kernel 2.6.39-3-generic

  When I enable the bluetooth switch to ON, using dmesg I can see that
  the device is recognized as HID keyboard and mouse, instead of a full
  HCI device, so the bluetooth features of ubuntu won't work.
