supported release of Ubuntu and there have been no recent reports of
this particular issue.

  [jaunty] mouse doesn't work on live cd

Status in “casper” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  The cd is the i386 desktop cd from 21/02/09. I can boot up into it
  fine and everything works apart from the mouse. I see the pointer in
  the middle of the screen, it changes from the "busy" circle into a
  pointer, but it won't move whatever I do. This is on a Dell Inspiron
  1300 laptop. I had a look at lspci and lshw output in my current
  Intrepid install, but couldn't find anything related to mice. I will
  post any logging info needed.
