We did not receive a response to the questions asked so I am setting
this bug to Invalid. Additionally, testing this with an 11.10 Ubuntu
Live CD I was not able to recreate this particular issue.

Title:
While installing ubuntu linux, if we press Ctrl+Alt+L then the window
gets locked and asking for live-session user password.

Status in “casper” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
When I booted from the Ubuntu live CD I got logged in to live-session. And from there I initiated the installer of Ubuntu.
While installation was going on, with my usual practise with ubuntu desktop I locked the screen and went away for my other work.
When I returned back to desktop and tried to access the live-session or installer the screen was locked and was asking me password for live session user, which I didn't knew.
Then I tried this workaround, I switched to terminal with Ctrl+Alt+F1... F2 whatever. and there I changed password for current user with passwd command.
And again came back to Ctrl+Alt+F7 and entered the password which I have reset.

So one thing I want to point out through this bug report is - users
usually do not know password for live user and if they are in the
middle of installation it is highly possible that in above mentioned
scenario they will reset their system for locked screen and land into
partially installed / corrupted ubuntu installation.

We need to disable the screen lock while ubuntu instalation is going
on. But even if user presses Ctrl+Alt+L or something like Ctrl+Alt+Del
then display message that these functionality are disabled for live
  session while installer is running.

  Release I tried : Ubuntu 8.10,
