Title:
update-manager via ssh: php.ini and sensors.conf dialogs not readable

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Hi,

update manager is as usual a marvelous tool. Just one thing in two
packages that was problematic to me.

Updating my mythbuntu box from 7.10 to 8.04 finally.

  1. ssh -Y root at lore --- ssh into the myth box
  2. update-manager
  3. Press the upgrade to 8.04 LTS button
  4. OK the upgrade process
  5. Choose "Replace" on a couple of files
  6. When it gets to the package containing a new php.ini I get the prompt about php.ini being localy changed in the itsy-terminal window with a "dialog" like interface. The message is not fully readable and when I choose to show the differences it's _not_ readable. I choose to replace with maintainer version. This repeats itself with sensors.conf.

The dialog in the php and sensors packages needs to be trapped as
well, or the terminal window needs to be larger and therefore usable
for the dialogs these packages present.

  Thanks,
    Nicolai
