  Crash in the middle of 11.10 install

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Installing from CD using ASUS SDRW-0801 S-U.  Have installed
  successfully about 3 times before.  It crashed during roughly 30% of
  my total attempts to install.
