Title:
  natty TORAM=yes doesn't work well

Status in “casper” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I booted the 20110312 daily amd64 desktop livecd image of with
TORAM=yes replacing the quiet splash -- arguments on the kernel
command line on my 4gig amd64 dual-core laptop. It booted, but

  1) the startup sound appear a long time before the gui screen appeared (more than a minute) and
  2) before it could finish adding the dock and menus, compiz died and the popup said there wasn't enough
free space to collect a bug report.

In previous releases, TORAM=yes on a 4 gig machine ran normally and left lots of room for loading
  packages.
