I performed the upgrade from within Ubuntu (so not from USB stick or
CD), but by using the update manager. The PGP WDE bootloader contained
in the MBR was overwritten without any question to the user.

  Confirmed

Bug description:
  The Update to Oneiric Ocelot destroys the True Crypt bootloader and
  the very important TC-keys to decrypt the windows partition! It
  installs GRUB without any questions into the MBR but the GRUB of the
  old Ubuntu was installed on the first partition.
