[Bug 877869] [NEW] The Ubuntu Software Center is a really slow app

Public bug reported:

The software center takes too long to satart up. The scrolling of any
page inside the USC is not responsive/smooth at all. I think this should
be fixed as soon as possible. Is that the impression we want to give?
You click the icon and you have to wait for ages for the thing to show
something, and even then you have to wait some more.... I'm really
dissapointed by that... And really (conceptually speaking) the USC does
very little... You open it, you see what's available you click and
install. You could even just use a web page for that.

** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
