I am also having this occur. I see the four dots load screen at boot,
then it flashes away to terminal text which reads

mountall: disconnected from plymouth
[OK]

Boot up proceeds without problem after this, splash screen appears,
login succeeds.

Lubuntu 11.10 upgraded from Lubuntu 11.04. Acer Aspire One AOA110
netbook.

I checked my version of the plymouth package in Synaptics and they're
0.8.2-2ubuntu28.

Not too familiar with the different types of boot logs yet so please let
me know what kind of info I can attach to help out (as well as
directions for getting the info required please)

Title:
Ubuntu splash is not fluid during boot: interruted with message
  "mountall: desconectado de plymouth"

Status in “plymouth” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I just installed and updated Ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot Beta 1. When I
boot, the plymouth splash is interrupted just before user selection
menu launches (a couple of seconds).

A black screen (console) is shown with this message: "mountall:
desconectado de plymouth". As my Ubuntu is in spanish, the english
version is probably "mountall: disconnected from plymouth".

I don't think this is critical, but it would be really nice if that
message was gone and the start experience was more fluid.

Please tell if I can do anything to help with this bug.

  Regards,
  Ignacio
