Title:
dh_make tries to make driver symbolic links without absolute paths

Status in “dh-make” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Apparently cp -s needs absolute paths. Yet dh_make tries to use it
relative paths (called from Debian dpkg-buildpackage version
  1.15.8.10ubuntu1). Quoting relevant log below:

  # Copy only the driver source to the proper location
  cp -s driver/* debian/XXX-source/usr/src/modules/XXX
cp: `debian/XXX-source/usr/src/modules/s2226/XXX.ko': can make relative symbolic links only in current directory
