Title:
Ubuntu 11.10 fresh install crashed
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
I first got error message "file did not match its source copy on the CD/DVD". I hit "retry" on the few times I had this message and install continued. Note that I was installing from a usb stick. I had a similar message when I tried from a burned CD.
In the end, I got a black screen with text from the kernel "general protection fault".
