It changed my email from Evolution to mutt, and my music player from
Rhythmbox to Audacious.

For people who want to fix this, you need to go to:

1) Systems Settings > System Info > Default applications.
2) Select the correct applications, and you're all set.

Title:
Upgrading to oneiric changed default applications

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
After upgrading to oneiric, I noticed the default web browser is now
Chromium, and the default media player Amarok, as shown in Unity’s
  dash.

Before the upgrade I used to have Firefox and Banshee as defaults, and
I don’t think this is the expected behaviour.
