[Bug 876651] [NEW] Install of Ubuntu 11.04 crashes during install

Public bug reported:

I am attempting to install Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty) on my eMachines desktop.
The installer crashes during the unloading packages step. This also
occurs on another 10+ year-old computer, so I believe I may need to burn
a new ISO disc. I am fairly well educated in computers, so don't bother
trying to use super-simple anti-nerd answers, I'll understand the lingo.
I would include the log, but it reset after I force-shutdown my
computer. It completely froze after the installer crashed. Ubuntu still
works but the new Unity desktop won't load (and I think others things
are broken, too).

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
