Title:
  Installer Crashed

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I got this message when Ubuntu 11.04 installation failed first time:

  "*Installer Crashed*
We're sorry; the installer crashed. Please file a new bug report at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+filebug (do not attach your details to any existing bug) and a developer will attend to the problem as soon as possible. To help the developers understand what went wrong, include the following details in your bug report, and attach the file /var/log/syslog and var/log/partman:"

I don't know how to get these above mentioned files so I am unable to
  attach them with this report.

Then second time installation completed with the following error
almost in its end but my computer is not able to boot with Ubuntu. It
has also installed Windows XP on it and it is working fine. The error
  was:

"An error occurred while removing packages:
  E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg exited unexpectedly

The following packages are in a broken state:

This may be due to an old installer image, or it may be due to a bug in some of packages listed above. More details may be found in var/log/syslog. The installer will continue anyway, but may fail at a later point, and will not be able to install remove other package (possibly including itself) from the installed system. You should first look for newer versions of you installer image, or failing that report the problem to your distributor."

I have check my installer file is the most latest version available on
  Ubuntu website. Kindly guide.

  Thanks,

  - shaftain
