I also went to a different computer and downloaded the upgrade to a CD,
and was then able to get to the GRUB menu and change the BIOS BOOT
configuration to ATI-CD-ROM 1st. I then shutdown and then booted up
again, but still have the same screen and problem.

Bug description:
installed 11.10, now user name/password does not work

I installed the new update, and now Lubuntu just continues to ask for my user and then my password. I did not create a new user or password when the updates were installed, because i was not asked to create them. Help! I can't get on my computer at all, now!
I also tried "for the heck of it" ubuntu as both the user and password, but still no help.
